Description
Sambhar is a soothing thick spicy South Indian Vegetarian Stew with an extract of Split Pigeon Peas (Toor / Tuvar) dal soured with tamarind, this is made in different variations and with selected add-on vegetables, these are generally soft vegetables like brinjal, drumstick, gourd and lady’s finger. Coupled with Idlis or rice, this is a healthy breakfast and is often taken as complete meals.
In our recipe, for Sambar, we have selected finest of the Split Pigeon Peas (Tuvar) dal, balanced with selected vegetables this is cooked on light flame and is tempered by well-equalized vegetables and special spices. This lightly spiced Sambar is enjoyed with Idlis or rice, and can prove to be effective source of protein and fibre.
